We’ve opened up our boxed inventory so you can now sample these waxes as single sticks
Enjoy the classic beauty of J. Herbin waxes, made in France using authentic recipes that go all the way back to the 1670s. Once used by royalty to seal and protect important documents, this historic King’s Wax adds a little old-world charm to your letters and creative projects.
Details:
Wick-style sticks
4 ¾" x 5/8" x 3/8"
About 15–20 seals per stick with a 3/4" diameter stamp
These sticks are flexible enough for most mailing situations, but if you bend them far enough, they’ll still give you that satisfying traditional “snap.”
La Société J. Herbin, Maître Cirier à Paris, was founded in 1670.
Over the centuries, everyone from Louis XIV to Coco Chanel has used this traditional sealing wax. It’s still known worldwide as one of the finest sealing waxes ever made.
J. Herbin was originally a sailor, bringing back the ingredients from his travels that helped shape his sealing wax. His unique lacquer blend improved both adhesion and finish, earning him a strong reputation throughout France.
Then, as now, sealing wax was used for letters and official documents — but also for decorative details and bottling. J. Herbin has supplied Chanel since its earliest days, providing wax for the finishing touches on their perfume bottles.
